Why you need Nutrition and Nourishment now more than ever

We are the only species in this planet confused about what to eat. There is not a single animal living in its natural environment that is sick or overweight because of its diet or lifestyle. They just know what to eat even more they know how to live! This shows how disconnected we have become from Nature and even from our ability to differentiate “good” food from “bad” food. Or shall I say nutrient dense food from junk food. We even fail to recognise what serves us well on a day-to-day basis and what does not. Consequently, we end up unhappy, suffering from disease, illnesses and premature death. We allow to silence what our bodies are telling us and constantly run into trouble with our health.

We are the only species on this planet confused about what to eat.

We tend to focus on only one part of the wellness aspect and wonder why we haven’t yet achieved the balance or happiness that we are so deeply longing for. For instance, you cannot out eat poor sleep, meaning if you eat well but not sleep enough the chances of you feeling at your best are quite low. Or you cannot out exercise poor nutrition, meaning if you exercise often and train well, if you do not have a balanced diet in place you might not be seeing the results you are expecting. As well as, you cannot out supplement poor emotional state, in the sense that no matter what herb, vitamin or next best “it” product you are taking, for improving emotional well-being, if you do not address all these emotions, feelings and their root causes you will be stuck. Don’t get me wrong supplements can be very helpful but as their name states they are supposed to be a ‘supplement’ to your nutrition and lifestyle needs and not the main or only thing you are focusing on. And so, the list goes on and on.  You may have already noticed or already knew intuitively, it is all connected. Something we often tend to forget and only when addressing all the pillars of wellness along with the root causes, we would have achieved what we have set our minds and goals for.

When working with me at TERRA Nutrition & Wellness we will look at the many aspects of what nourishes your body but also what nourishes your soul. My aim is to help you understand your relationship with food and how it may affect you as a whole being. Depending on your goal(s), we would work together on establishing, underlying issues that prevent you from reaching your goal(s). Whether it is a nourishment deficiency or an environmental factor we are going to explore your relationship with food, to make it a long-lasting healthy relationship. I will help you understand the link between food, emotions and your environment and give you the tools to become the best version of yourself, living the healthy life you are meant to have!
